Moraine Ridge’s 55 and Older Apartments FAQ

Senior Resident and Caregiver Interacting

Your Frequently Asked Questions

Transitioning to senior living comes with a lot of uncertainty—and even more questions. We understand you want to join a community where you can feel safe, happy, and cared for. That’s why we’ve created this FAQ section to answer your questions about our senior apartments and to help you envision the years ahead in retirement.

What senior living options do you have, and how do I determine which arrangement is right for me or my loved one?

Moraine Ridge has two types of housing for those 55 and older:

  • Independent living: Designed to cater to active seniors looking to live an independent lifestyle free from the hassle of household chores or maintenance that comes with a traditional private residence.
  • Assisted living: A specialized housing option that gives seniors a higher level of support for daily activities, such as bathing and dressing, meal preparation, and medication management.

It’s important to note that senior living is not a monolith; rather, it encompasses a range of housing options to meet the diverse needs of all seniors. To determine which is best for you or your loved one, we encourage you to assess the level of care you need now and what you anticipate needing in the future. Our team is just a phone call away to help you find the right housing option.

What floor plans do you offer?

We have thoughtfully curated one to two-bedroom apartments to meet the unique needs and lifestyles of all retirees, from those capable of managing day-to-day activities to those who need help with cleaning or managing medications. Each living space features a full kitchen, cable TV, individually controlled heat and air conditioning, ample storage space, and an emergency response system.

What amenities and activities are available to seniors?

Our senior citizen apartments are designed to make you feel at home, with cozy living quarters and inviting open communal spaces where we encourage residents to explore social activities and foster new friendships. Here are just a few of the many amenities and activities you can find at Moraine Ridge:

  • Daily life enrichment programs and social-cultural events
  • 24/7 emergency response by on-site healthcare professionals
  • Library and business center equipped with computers, printers, and Wi-Fi
  • Wheelchair-accessible bus and transportation services for community outings
  • And more!

Can seniors transition from independent living to assisted living if their needs change over time?

From matters of personal preference to medical care and social support, we recognize that the needs of seniors change throughout retirement. That’s why we offer a variety of living options, allowing seniors to transition to a higher level of care as needed and without leaving the community they know and love.
